Dermaviduals is manufactured by KoKo GmbH & Co.KG, a global and rapidly growing company that is based near Dusseldorf in Germany.
The science of restoring and maintaining healthy skin is the principle of corneotherapy and the underlying foundation of dermaviduals. The range was developed in Germany in 1994 by Dr Hans Lautenschläger - an international leader in pharmacology and chemistry.
Recognising that lifestyle factors such as indirect exposure to pollutants, chemicals, pesticides and surfactants impact negatively on our skin, Lautenschläger and his team developed a customised dermatological skin care solution designed to optimally maintain the natural skin barrier and prevent premature ageing.
DR HANS LAUTENSCHLÄGER, Managing Director KoKo GmbH & Co.KG (dermaviduals in Germany)
Dr Lautenschläger has a strong background in chemistry and physics. Earlier in his career he headed a department within the Research and Development of Nattermann & Cie. Cologne, where he developed new pharmaceutical agents in the field of lipid metabolism disorders, inflammation and circulatory diseases. During the 1980’s, he was head of the Application Engineering Department at Nattermann Phospholipid, a company specialising in the development of pharmaceuticals and skin care products that contain Phosphatidylcholine.
In 1998 he joined KOKO dermaviduals and as the managing partner he has led KOKO to become an internationally renowned cosmetic company. The products contain a dermal membrane structure identical to the skin and a particularly effective delivery system encompassing his earlier studies with Phosphatidylcholine. Dr Lautenschläger has published more than 200 industry publications and patents for his product range
In 2010 derma aesthetics embraced the dermaviduals concept, realising that this range was really superior to any range currently in the marketplace. derma aesthetics proudly distributes dermaviduals products and provides training across Australia and New Zealand.
Finally, the future of skin care has arrived in Australasia.
