Meet Team derma’s Gosia

Posted: 19 June 2020 by Michele Jacobs

What do you do at Derma Aesthetics?

I am a Sales Consultant in New Zealand. I currently look after 52 clinics in both the North and South Islands. I Love it!

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of having the courage to change my career in my 30’s even though I was told multiple times this industry wasn’t for me. I had previously worked in the bank. A very successful Salon Owner said I was wasting my money going to Beauty school. I put it off for 2 years then, decided to go for it.

How would you describe yourself/ how would your friends describe you?

I would describe myself as: Typical Capricorn: loyal, stubborn, and a workaholic.
Friends would say loyal, supportive, and reliable – I hope ??

Are you superstitious?

Yes!! You will never see my handbag on the floor! If you put your handbag on the floor it shows a lack of respect for money and money will “walk out” from the handbag.

If I forget something and have to go back home, I will sit down and count to 10 – otherwise its bad luck!

Are you where you want to be in your career?

I never really had a career plan to fulfill nor any ambition to climb the corporate ladder… My goal was always to find something to do, that will bring me the money but more importantly satisfaction and fulfillment. I never ever complain about Mondays! I love what I do and I am happy to get up in the morning to go to work. I consider myself very lucky!

How do you manage work, family, friends, and staying active?

I wake up early… so going for a walk before work is not a problem. I usually do 5km.

Managing work and family or having downtime is definitely something I am struggling with. I am not good at switching off from work on the weekends especially as I still see clients on occasion, on the weekends. It works for me and I wouldn’t want to change anything.

Do you have any suggestions for how to continuously eat healthy?

Don’t skip breakfast
Prepare in advance
Grocery shop wisely – don’t keep junk food in your pantry
Keep healthy snacks handy

Pinch me moment… I get to live in New Zealand.

I am proud of… How much I have grown in the last few years.

My weaknesses… online shopping and good food.
