Posted: 16 April 2019 by Annemarie O'Donnell

What do you do at Derma Aesthetics?
“I am a Sales Consultant for QLD, South NSW and ACT. I work with new and existing business, doing a whole mix of things – working with my clients to expand knowledge, conducting VIP events and finding ways to build on & grow their businesses.”

What’s your favourite thing about your job?
“The variety. Each day is different, working with different clinics who have different needs, always something new to learn. I love learning about my clients, understanding the different personalities and different motivations, being able to understand these makes me better able to serve them.”

What are you currently binging?
“While waiting for Schitts Creeks latest season to air, I am re-watching Parks and Rec! On Instagram – Zack Skow & Jameela Jamil.”

It’s been raining broken broken dogs lately and I’ve been getting lots of requests for updates, so here we go! BILLIE: Billie suffered dual fractured back legs and has had her first, maybe only necessary surgery to correct. She’s actually already walking, though very limited. She’ll remain up at @ucdfractureprogram for several weeks and may even have an adooter already! VERONICA MARS: broken back, multiple fractured legs and pelvis. Also underwent a successful surgery through the fracture program at @ucdavisvetmed and will have most likely have another. She’s being fostered by vet students up there who may also be interested in adopting! COLTON: I took Colton to the vet a few days ago to have his leg examined, stitches removed and cast rewrapped. His leg was bothering him quite a bit so we’ve added tramadol back into his pain treatment. All in all, we simply couldn’t have hoped for a better outcome for all of these dogs. We’re aren’t out of the woods yet—with any of them—but the prognosis is promising! Thank you for the love and support. I know I’ve said it a million times before but we simply can’t do this without you. This resvue work is a team effort! Shout out to Dr. Vernau, Dr. Buote, @yolo_spca and one of my favorite humans on earth—Ms. @thezoglow!

“If you have a love of animals, witty humour and need a reminder of the strength and compassion of the human spirit, @zachskow should be a daily watch!”

“If you need a reminder that strong, powerful, beautiful, intelligent women who stand up for what they believe in exist, this is your gal. @jameelajamilofficial is someone who inspires me to be me!”

Who is your biggest inspiration?
“I am so fortunate to have too many people in my life who inspire me, I am not able to narrow it down to one. I am inspired by people who have taken the time and hard work to find out who they are, to be able to stand strong in that knowledge. There is nothing more inspiring, nor beautiful, than seeing a person comfortable in being exactly who they are, warts and all.”

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?
“This was a tough one for me to answer, I have two divided responses. One would be Tony Stark, while he isn’t exactly a superpower, he is a superhero, and I would just want to be him. Second, aren’t we all already superheroes, having our own unique superpowers? Love, compassion, humility, forgiveness, vulnerability, humour, resilience, these are superpowers!!”

What mantra do you live by?
“A joyful spirit is evidence of a grateful heart”
