Nanoparticles have a high affinity to the horny layer of the skin and are used as transport systems which help the different active agents to penetrate the skin more easily. Nanoparticles are capsules shaped by a monolayer membrane. This monolayer membrane consists of a substance that is found in the basic structure of cell membranes of every organism in nature. This natural substance has a complex name that is as hard to spell as to pronounce: phosphatidylcholine.

Boswellia Nanoparticles

Care of barrier disordered skin.

Extract for the supporting care of hyperactive and barrier disordered skin.

Active agent complex of boswellia serrata extract (frankincense extract), avocado phytosteroles and highly enriched phosphatidylcholine (lecithin) in aqueous nanoparticles dispersion.

Nanoparticles stabilize boswellia serrata extract (frankincense extract) in high dosage, transport the active agent into the skin and enable skin application in spite of the resinous property of boswellia. Frankincense extract inhibits the expression of metalloproteinases, which induce the degradation of collagen. Metalloproteinases are activated when the skin is strongly stressed by UV radiation. Furthermore boswellia inhibits the 5-lipoxygenase, a key enzyme of inflammation processes. Frankincense encapsulated in nanoparticles is not only used for anti-ageing skin care, but also for accompanying care of inflamed skin disorders and especially actinic keratoses. Phytosteroles (“unsaponifiables”) from avocado oil extract support the care of barrier disordered skin.

Additive for DMS®-base creams.

Local skin treatment is gained by applying the pure concentrate.

The concentrated active agent should be applied sparingly to the skin similar to dabbing in an ampoule product.
