Business Development Manager - Sydney and surrounds

The opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager based in Sydney and  surrounds, to join our Sales Team. Collaborating with the Head of Sales, you will be attracting new businesses and supporting existing clinics to help achieve growth and expansion. There is an exciting plan for growth within Australia over the next few years. You will benefit from working with highly motivated team members and clients alike in a creative, ever-changing environment. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is highly organised, performance driven and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for skin health & a willingness to travel.

Key responsibilities:

  • Servicing stockists within your territory, visiting these accounts on a call cycle to increase sales and add valuable support.
  • Sourcing new business to ensure growth within your territory.
  • Planning and achieving sales goals through the development of new business from leads and canvas calling activities.
  • Collaborating with stockists to create an actionable business plan.
  • Developing strong, meaningful client relationships.
  • Implementing and supporting new promotions and product launches in clinics.
  • Planning and participating in VIP events for our stockists as well as keeping them up to date on all educational programs.
  • Delivering in-clinic education to support the growth of stockists in between them attending our certified educational seminars. 
  • Supporting stockists with merchandising displays for maximum product exposure.
  • Driving the success of your territory, ensuring monthly sales targets & individual KPI’s are met and outstanding customer service is consistently delivered.
  • Please note that some travel to other states may be required on occasion.

Skills required:

  • Prior experience in a similar Business Development Manager role (minimum 2 years) is desirable.
  • Be a qualified Beauty Therapist/Dermal Therapist with a comprehensive understanding of the skins structure and function.
  • Be able to work autonomously and report to the Head of Sales in an organised and timely manner.
  • The ability to be flexible with regard to role tasks, timeframes & travel.
  • Be highly driven, self-motivated, organised and experienced in creating and following a call cycle.
  • Have the ability to profile a prospective account, convert them to a strong lead, manage them through your sales pipeline and close the sale.
  • Thrive on achieving and exceeding sales targets via meticulous planning & collaboration with stockists and senior management.
  • You must thoroughly enjoy building relationships with businesses and continue to find ways to add value to their business wherever possible.
  • Display confidence and passion to deliver thought-provoking in-clinic education.
  • Be an all-round excellent communicator with a natural ability for building rapport with colleagues as well as clients alike.
  • Be able to implement and support new promotions & product launches on a monthly basis plus ensure all stockists have the current resources for a successful promotion.
  • Participate and plan VIP events for key clients plus keep them up to date on all educational programs.
  • Excellent personal presentation with a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
  • Strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude.
  • Be knowledgeable and up to date on current trends within the beauty industry and possess an extreme passion about skin care.
  • Participate & attend trade shows and events as required.
  • Possess proficient computer literacy skills; use of company software programs plus Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for accurate record keeping, including all client data and sales activities for your territory.

Graphic Designer

The Role:

Derma Aesthetics is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our growing team!

 As the Graphic Designer you will report to the Head of Marketing, working in collaboration with our marketing team contributing to the development of brand strategy. You will work within brand guidelines as well as providing creative direction. You should be experienced in creating all elements such as brand books, point of sale, advertising (print & digital), experience with website content, banners (incl. digital), gifs, social media graphics and stories.

 Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.

 This position also works closely with all internal departments and in particular with Education and Sales. You will be required to work onsite with the marketing team for Monday & Tuesday each week with the rest of your time spent working remotely.

 Your Responsibilities:

  • Study design briefs, determine requirements and schedule projects
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare drafts and present ideas
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software
  • Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic in line with brand guidelines
  • Obtain approval to produce final design for newly created content
  • Test graphics across various media
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Implement internal process for briefing in design work and projects

 To be successful in this position you must have:

  • Previous 3 to 5 years of graphic design experience
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe InDesign & Illustrator, Photoshop and Canva
  • Experience with printing and liaising with printers, can understand stock selection when dealing with our printing suppliers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication is essential. You will be required to pick up errors when proofing content ready for print.
  • Ability to create content for all departments based on our prescribed brand guidelines
  • Experience navigating Dropbox
  • Self-motivated and take initiative
  • Work simultaneously on projects/multiple at once and can prioritise workload
  • Ability to take feedback and ask questions as required
  • Nice to haves: Video editing/animation, podcast editing, copywriting experience and prior design experience in the beauty industry
